Tri-Nooga 2020

This is a weekend to celebrate multi-sport activities in Chattanooga. The Scenic City is one of 10 cities in the world that is home to both the IM Full and 70.3 race, and hundreds of triathletes from around the country now come to our city to enjoy training here, in what is arguably the triathlon capital of the Southeast.

The dates of Tri-Nooga 2019 are Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28. You can choose to participate in whatever activities you would like. Of course the more you do, the more fun you will have.

The cost is minimal- only $15 for the training weekend for members. If you are not a current member and would like to become one, the cost of annual club membership is $25 single/$40 family membership. Memberships can be purchased separately on the web site. Non Members cost for Tri Nooga will be $40.00. This year we are capping registration at 60. Registration will be open to 40 members and 20 non members. If those slots are not filled then it will be open to anyone 1 week out from event. Get more for your money by becoming a member first and then registering for TriNooga -- SAME PRICE!

Below is the schedule of activities:

Friday, April 24th
5:30pm-7:30pm: Late Registration/Early Packet pick-up at Erwin Marina, 201 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN 37402

Saturday, April 25th
7:00am-7:45am: Late Registration/ Packet pick-up at Erwin Marina, 201 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN 37402

7:30 am- 7:45am: Pilot meeting at Erwin Marina, launch and head up river to Market St Bridge and Walnut St Bridge.
8:00am: Open Water Swim. Meet at Erwin Marina, begin walk to the dock under Walnut St. Bridge at 7:45.
We will swim upstream for about 300-400 yards then back to the
marina. We will get out at the boat ramp just past the marina.

9:30am: Run, Self- paced. Start when you would like after Swim. We will run the IM 70.3 route.
Start/finish at Erwin Marina. Run route will be marked. There will be one aid station on the run at
Battery Place that will serve both Riverfront and Battery Place. Run as much of the route as you

12:00pm: Lunch and Coaches Panel. Join us for lunch provided by Fazoli’s at Erwin Marine.
Please bring a lawn chair. We will have a Q and A Panel of Local Multi Sport Coaches to answer Multi Sport Question, Chattanooga IM 70.3 Course and any other Questions pertaining to Multi sport.
Lunch is included in the price of the event. There will be door prizes given throughout lunch time, with a grand prize giveaway at the end of the speaker session. Must be present to win! After Lunch, there will be, both a Free Transition Clinic and a Tube Change out Clinic held by a Local Coach. (CO2 Cartridges will be provided). If you are unsure how to use a CO2 Cartridge and CO2 inflator
to inflate a tube, then it is highly recommended for you to attend the Clinic.

6:00pm-10:00pm- Social/dinner event. Location to be determined later. It will be self-pay. But loads of fun!

Sunday, April 26th
8:00am-12:00pm: Course preview bike ride. Meet at the parking lot across from Erwin Marina. There will be a roving SAG vehicle on the route. Phone numbers will be provided at the beginning of the ride. There will be one aid station on the bike course at Mile 34, Pigeon Mountain BBQ Pavilion. We intend to have some nutrition available throughout the weekend, but please be prepared with your own as well.

IMPORTANT: Please register at $20.00 for Members. $55.00 for Non-Members. We would like to have a count of how many are planning to attend the event. Act
fast, only 60 slots available. Registration will be open to members and non-members alike till slots are filled.

We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend of swimming, biking and running, as well as camaraderie in the Scenic City.
